PRESS RELEASE
For immediate release.
TITLE: Recruitment solution for local garages
(Wiltshire – Berkshire)
Following the success of its national online launch last year, Marlborough automotive recruitment company Tecconex is embarking on a new initiative dedicated to serving the counties Wiltshire and Berkshire.
This new service will see Tecconex working closely with main franchise dealers as well as independent garages and bodyshops.
Co founder Jonathan Causebrook explains that the recruitment of specialised and qualified staff is a difficult and time consuming process that many garages struggle with. Over last year we have found that many of the candidates that have registered with us are from the counties of Berkshire and Wiltshire. With this in mind we have approached and worked with many local garages and dealerships directly to find suitable placements, even if they were not actively advertising.
Causebrook goes on to explain that so far this method has been particularly successful and popular with the both garages and candidates alike.
We have found that many smaller garages are traditionally unsure about using employment agencies because of costs, however our dedicated consultants have found that by working with them and tailoring packages to suit, the costs are often not as much as expected.
Bigger dealers also see the benefit accounting for around 75% of this years business.
In the new year Teconex are confident they will successfully place many more panel beaters, sprayers, mechanics, parts people, service advisors, sales people and managers at different locations through out the region. They are also keen to build new relationships and ‘tailor made’ contracts with main dealers and smaller garages alike
This is the time of year for anyone looking for a new job to start compiling their CVs and registering at www.tecconex.co.uk ready for the new year openings.
Similarly this is the perfect time to start talking to a consultant at Tecconex about how they can help you in your business.

Women in the driving seat
By Chris Koenig
An Oxfordshire car business is spearheading the Government's Women in Work programme with a drive to attract more women into the motor trade.
Hartwell Ford has teamed up with the Institute of the Motor Industry in a bid to break down the macho image of a sector in which 84 per cent of employees are male.
The Government has allocated £1m to the Women in Work programme for the retail motor sector - money that participating companies can use to attract women recruits or to train those already employed.
Yvonne Cubbage, general manager of Hartwell Ford at the Motor Park in Kidlington, freely admits to being a woman in a man's world.
She joined the firm 24 years ago, starting out as a 16-year-old clerk in the service department, but then encountering no "glass ceiling" as she rose in her chosen career.
She said: "It worked for me and it could work for others too."

She added: "Now the trade is changing and becoming more family friendly."
Ms Cubbage, 39, admitted most customers walking into the showroom were still men but added the number of women customers was rising.
Monique Boath, project manager of the Women in Work Automotive Skills programme, said the under-representation of women in the trade meant such family friendly initiatives as flexible working and part-time opportunities were lacking, but that the present initiative was aimed at tackling such problems.
The National Employer Survey has shown the sector has significant skills shortages in management and leadership skills.
Only 14 per cent of managers have qualifications to level four or above, the lowest of any other sector in the UK.
And the IMI also found most female jobs in the sector are stereotypes, mainly secretarial, administration, and customer service.
